How To Think Like a 6-Figure Entrepreneur

Today I want to talk to you about how you should think in order to start
making six-figures a year online.

Yes,... Think.

Because there’s a big difference between the mindset of an employee
who makes, say, $50,000 a year, and an entrepreneur who makes that
same amount every month.

There’s a difference between someone who’s happy to clock in and do
their 9-to-5, and someone who makes six-figures a year working just
4 hours a day.

And there’s a gigantic difference between someone who takes control
of their life and someone who leaves it up to their boss to decide.

I believe a lot of that comes down to MINDSET.

Suppose that’s true, that your mindset has been holding you back from
success… how then do you go about replacing an employee mindset
with a new entrepreneur brain?

I want to make two suggestions today.

The first one is this:

If you truly want to become a successful entrepreneur, you must recognize
that the “buck stops with you”.

You are responsible for your failure and success. For your good months
and your bad. For your record breaking commission checks and for the
times you’re broke.

It’s not your boss, your family or your friends that is responsible for your
success. Everything is up to YOU.

Without a boss, there is no one to force you to work. To get up early in the
morning, or to put in night-time hours.

There are no consequences if you don’t achieve your goal. I mean, you
won’t fire yourself, right?

Sounds scary, but there’s also a magnificent upside to this new way of
thinking.

Your business will flourish in line with your efforts. When you work hard –
and smart – you’ll make way more money than any full-time job, and
you’ll have the freedom to go along with.

So, take responsibility for your efforts and time. Soon you’ll be rewarded
for every minute you put in.

So, that’s my first piece of advice. The second is this:

Surround yourself with entrepreneur materials and stop reading the same
thing that employees read.

Instead, read what entrepreneurs and successful people read. Read
Business books. Books on self-growth.

Read about how to make a full-time living with a wi-fi connection and laptop
or smartphone…

Skip Facebook posts, trashy magazines, romance novels, and other things
that will keep you poor.

Of course, there’s a place for entertainment, but the more time you can put
into reading the right things, the quicker your mind will morph into that of
an entrepreneur.

And as hard as it might be to believe, you’ll stop enjoying spending time
on things that don’t bring you closer to your goals.

5 Proven Tips to Help You Reach Your Goals Faster

A lot of people hoping to make money online are limited to working at it 
just a few hours per day or less. If you’re working a day job and are 
frustrated that you can’t spend more time becoming financially free, I 
have some good news for you.Do you know what’s even more effective than having more time to work? 
Getting as much as you possibly can out of the time you do have available.

How Our Brains Work Against Us

There’s a meme floating around called “Scumbag Brain” that jokes about 
how the human brain works against us sometimes instead of doing what 
we want it to. For example…It’s easy to get motivated, but hard to stay 
disciplined.

Perhaps you’ve noticed that gritting your teeth and relying on willpower 
alone is not enough.

Think of the last time you were on an exercise program that did not last. 
You went to the gym religiously for several weeks…until you caught a cold, 
or missed a day. Then, it was back to your old habits and behavior again—
not to mention feelings of guilt and self-blame (which make it even harder 
to bounce back).

The key is to avoid self-criticism by understanding how your mind works. 
We all get lazy or have setbacks. The key is to get back on track again 
quickly when (not if) it happens.

Schedule 90-120 Minute Time Blocks

The easiest way to get something done is to set a specific time and place 
to do it, and then show up when the time comes. Otherwise, your goals 
and plans are not concrete enough, and you can fall into the 
procrastination trap.

It’s also a fact that people can only stay focused and productive for 90 to 
120 minutes at a time, before we need a rest or diversion. It’s impossible 
to stay ultra-productive all the time. Don’t even bother trying.

Instead, schedule blocks of time when you’ll be doing nothing but working, 
and when it’s over, STOP. Take a 15-20 minute break, or wrap it up for the 
day.

Also, treat your scheduled commitment to yourself as seriously as you 
would your job. Isn’t it just as important?

Prioritize Your Top 5 Items

It helps to list the top 5 tasks to accomplish each day, preferably the night 
before. Then, when the time comes to work, work on one thing at a time, 
starting with the most important action item of the day.

When it’s finished, move on to item #2, and so on, until done. Do NOT try 
to do two things at once! Multi-tasking is a myth and a joke.

It gives people the illusion that they are getting more done, but in reality 
you lose concentration while switching back and forth between items 
because it takes time for the mind to get caught up again.

Create an Environment for Focused Work

Your performance is affected the environment you’re in and the tools 
available to you, positively or negatively. Give your body and mind what 
they need to perform by setting up your workspace for success.

Before you start, clear out the clutter and remove any potential 
distractions. Have only one window open on your computer. Get away 
from email, phone, and social media until your work block is over. You 
can schedule a separate session for phone calls and email.

Take a Fun Break!

Lastly, don’t forget to give yourself the rest you need, in order to have the 
concentration reserves you need to fuel your work.

So make a point to schedule periods each day for breaks, leisure, and 
fun as well as working on your business. It’s just as important if you want 
to be consistent in the long run!

Shortcuts…The “Smoke and Mirrors” to Online Business…

The real shortcut is knowing this… A common thread spun in this 
business?

Finding “shortcuts” and “hacks” so you can get to wealth and freedom 
faster.

Yet, how’s that working out for most folks?

Not. well. at. all.

Most think that the opposite of a shortcut is a long, drawn out path to the 
results they want.

But that’s just not the case. It’s just the opposite actually.

Think of it this way…

Say you’re headed off to the grocery store. And you won’t leave your 
home until you find the quickest path – one where there are no red lights, 
stop signs or ANY chance of road work, accidents, etc.

You’d never get out the driveway, would you?

What’s the REAL shortcut or path to take here?

It’s to get in your car, and drive straight to the store, with the best path 
you know to take.

And you EXPECT to hit a few stop signs, red lights, green lights, and maybe even to get stuck in traffic for a beat.

And that’ll be OK, right?

The late great Jim Rohn often, offer me words of wisdom almost on a 
daily basic.

Jim said "The difficulties you meet will resolve themselves as you 
advance. Proceed, and light will dawn, and shine with increasing 
clearness on your path."

The underlying path, the HACK and TRICK?

It’s that there is none.... Embrace the obstacles.

Jim sad "The more obstacles you face and overcome, the more times 
you falter and get back on track, the more difficulties you struggle with 
and conquer, the more resiliency you will naturally develop. There is 
nothing that can hold you back, if you are resilient."

The red lights and stop signs and wrecks... Walk the required walk because 
that’s reality,that’s life.

As you build a side-business that can give you an amazing life and a great 
income, you don’t need hacks and tricks.

You just need a plan, and a willingness to see it through, with all the red lights
and stop signs…

There will be Plenty of greenlights and shortcuts you’ll come across IF you 
just get your wheels rolling and you’re in gear and steering your car.

Another great piece of advice I heard, blunt as it sounds?

“Figure it out.”

Whatever barriers you come across, know we’re in the Information Age.

Google it, YouTube it, get a book or course on it, stumble your way
through it, in short… Figure it out. 

Just make sure you’re in movement as you do it. Figure it out ALONG 
the way…

That’s the greatest “hack” I know of that I can give you today!

Here’s a plan to $10K months, on a part-time schedule, even if you have 
no experience.

Many will keep searching year after year for a “hack” that’ll make them

Filling Your Lists with the Right Subscribers

Building a big list of subscribers is a lot of work. Whether you use paid or 
free methods to build your lists, it’s important that you fill your lists only 
with highly-targeted people who are passionate about your niche and are 
ready, willing and able to pay for the products you are promoting.

Here are some effective techniques you can use to make sure your lists 
are comprised only of the best possible customers who will continue to act 
on your offers for weeks or even years to come.

Kicking Out the Freeloaders

There are a lot of people online who are only looking to get stuff for free. 
These freeloaders are never going to spend money no matter what you do. 
Usually, they aren’t hurting anybody and can be safely ignored or at least 
tolerated.

But why should you have to spend time and energy marketing toward 
them?

A better plan is to keep track of who your customers are and how much 
they are spending on your offers. Cater toward your best customers and 
drop the freeloaders.

Identify Your Best Customers

You definitely want to take care of your best customers by giving them the 
best deals. You also want to give them exclusive access to new products 
before they are offered to anyone else.

Plus, you want to push them further and further up the profit ladder so that 
they spend increasing amounts of money with you.

If your tracking shows you subscribers aren’t spending anything, it’s 
perfectly acceptable to delete them from your list and let them go bother 
some other marketer.

If you want, you can send them one final email that says something like, 
“I noticed that you haven’t purchased any of my products and I wanted to 
know if there was something in particular that you wanted and aren’t 
getting from me or if there was some other reason.”

Sometimes this lets you convert freeloaders into loyal customers. But 
most of the time, this will scare them off end their trying to get free stuff 
from you.

Benefit of Repeat Buyers

Long-term relationships with your customers are always more profitable 
than short-term revenues.

Building long-term relationships with your customers is the most 
rewarding strategy for your revenues, your personal reputation, your 
company and your brand.

Treat customers as if they are your friends, rather than simply people who
buy your products. That way you can improve the effectiveness of any 
marketing program.

Share details about your personal history and family life. Customers that 
develop a genuine emotional bond with you will have a vested interest in 
your success.

How to Develop Long-Term Relationships with Your Customers

Nurture a personal relationship with your customers to create a unique 
benefit of doing business on the web.

When people believe that you consider them nothing more than a customer, they will think of you as nothing more than a marketer and soon they will stop paying attention to what you have to say.

But two-way communication can overcome this hurdle. Use your 
marketing campaign to facilitate two-way communications so that it’s easy 
for your customers to interact with you.

For example, you can include the tag line “Let Me Know What You Think” with each posting that includes an automatic link back to your own email account or web page.

That let you solicit your customer’s thoughts and opinions, reinforcing their 
importance to you and the success of your business.

Also, whenever a customer takes the time to contact you, always send a 
follow-up thank you and acknowledge how important and helpful their 
comment was to you.

This will strengthen their loyalty bond with you and your brand and make 
them more open to doing business with you in the future.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Email Marketing

If you already have a list of subscribers who are passionate about your 
niche, it’s time to set up a series of emails that you program your 
autoresponder to send out according to a pre-set schedule. This is known 
as an “email swipe”.

There’s no limit to the number of emails you can send out. Your 
subscribers keep getting them until they unsubscribe from your list. As 
long as your emails provide something your customers want, they will 
continue to keep opening them.

What Emails Should Do

The emails you send out should serve one of two purposes:

  • Reinforce your subscriber’s loyalty by giving them something of high 
    value for free
  • Promote a particular product or service

Effective email swipes contain both types of emails. If you send out emails 
that just promote products and services, your subscribers aren’t going to 
get a lot of value from your emails and they will be more likely to 
unsubscribe.

Instead, alternate these promotional emails with ones that provide free 
high-value content that they can actually use in their everyday lives. Your 
subscribers then will be more likely to open your emails and to purchasing 
the products or services you promote when you send promotional emails.

Keep in mind that once the person on your email list makes the choice to 
delete your email without reading it the first time, it’s going to be harder 
and harder for you to get them to open any subsequent emails that you 
send.

That’s why it is critically important that you keep your emails interesting 
enough and provide enough value so that the people on your list will have 
no choice but to open your emails every time you send them.

What Kind of Content to Include

Free high-value emails should contain either original content that you 
have created yourself or content you have purchased or commissioned 
from freelancers, PLR or some other source. Your emails can even 
simply contain links to informative content your subscribers will find 
useful.

By the way, this strategy works the same when marketing in other 
platforms as well, not just email. You can provide high value content and 
keep people looking forward to your next submission on places such as 
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and many other formats. 
The principle is the same.

Consider your emails swipes as a newsletter that you send your 
subscribers. A newsletter contains interesting and helpful articles about 
topics that interesting. If your content is high quality and your subscribers 
enjoy it, they are going to be more open to buying the products and 
services you promote in your newsletter.

How Often Should You Send Emails?

While there is no agreed-upon schedule for free content and promotional 
emails, use a 3:1 proportion. For every promotional email you send out, 
send out three that provide free high value content designed to build 
loyalty with your subscribers.

Promotional emails should have a structure similar to a sales letter. Have a 
clear Call to Action (CTA) that says exactly you want your reader to do: 
Buy a product, subscribe to a newsletter, invest in your company, etc.

Promotional emails need to have a link where your subscribers can click on 
to buy the products or services you are promoting.

Content of Promotional Emails

The content you promote in your promotional emails can be either original 
or something you commissioned another person to create for you. You also 
can promote affiliate products, which are products sold by somebody else 
but promoted by you. When a subscriber clicks through and buys one of 
these affiliate products, you get paid a commission.

Affiliate products are popular among email marketers because they don’t 
require you to purchase anything up front or worry about delivering the 
product to the buyer. All you do is promote the product and when a sale is 
made, you get paid.

4 Tips for Getting the Most from Your Email Marketing

There are a lot of critics who say email marketing isn’t as effective as it 
once was because more people are using mobile devices and texting 
to communicate with each other.Young people today text and tweet rather than read emails, so a lot of 
younger customers don’t even have email accounts, only smart phones 
and social media.

While there’s no question that social media, texting, and other 
communications platforms are more popular than email, the principles 
of email marketing can be applied to practically any format.

So, even if email isn’t as popular as it once was, these same strategies can 
help you connect with customers via Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and even 
mobile marketing.

Here are some universal email marketing tips that will help you build your subscription list with plenty of loyal, enthusiastic customers:

1. There’s More to Life than Opt-In Forms

While the opt-in form is one of the best ways to capture contact 
information, it’s not the only way. If you already own your own business, 
you probably already have a loyal customer base. Why not give them an 
incentive to give you their email address by offering special offers, 
discounts, or rewards?

You also can invite your social media contacts to join your list and invite 
them to recommend you to their social media contacts as well.

Another option is to promote your list in forums and chat rooms, or post 
articles or blogs related to your niche subject and include a link back to 
your opt-in form in the “About the Author” box. 

If you offer your customers something they find valuable to be a part of 
your subscription list, then you can grow your list very quickly.

2. Keep On Testing

A/B testing, also known as split testing, is when you send out two versions 
of the same email with one slight variation to see which one converts 
better. For example, you could send the same email with two different 
headlines.

Or, you could change the Call to Action slightly and record which one gives 
you with the best responses. From that point on, you can incorporate the 
successful version in future emails and achieve better results.

3. Marketing Only to People Who Want Your Products

It doesn’t do you any good to market to people who aren’t interested in 
your products. One way to weed out those who aren’t interested is to use 
a double opt-in to make certain that only people who really want to be on
your list are added.

A double opt-in is when you send a second email to somebody who signs 
up for your list to confirm their subscription. It eliminates people who 
don’t really want to be on your list (and it also helps avoid spam 
complaints later).

You can also send another email at some point in the future – such as in 
six or nine months – asking your list members to confirm that they want 
to continue to receive emails from you.

4. You Can’t Afford to Ignore Social Media

Cross promoting your website on social media platforms like Twitter, 
Facebook, and Instagram increases your chances of connecting with your customers.

You can invite people on your subscription list to “Like” your Facebook Fan 
Page, follow you on Twitter, and add you to their Google+ Circles, for 
example.

This gives you the opportunity to exponentially increase your potential p
oints of contact with your prospective customers.
