Pearls of Wisdom from Dr. Martin King; Jr.

Be the Best, Commit to Excellence!

If it falls to your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo
painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music ...
Sweep streets so well that all the host of heaven and earth will have to
pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.

All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be
undertaken with painstaking excellence.

Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that
the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.

Education Knowledge and History

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think
critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.

Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge
which is power; religion gives man wisdom which is control.

Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There
is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions.
Nothing pains some people more than having to think.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and
conscientious stupidity.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social
transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling
silence of the good people.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence
of our friends.

The past is prophetic in that it asserts loudly that wars are poor chisels for
carving out peaceful tomorrows.

The Measure of Character...

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of
comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and
controversy.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation
where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content
of their character.

That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time
is always right to do the right thing.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?

Education, Knowledge and History

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think
critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.

Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge
which is power; religion gives man wisdom which is control.

Committed to – Achieving Excellence!…

Committed to Excellence!

I have always been fascinated by, and tried to live a life of Excellence
For years I have used the mantra  Committed to Excellence.

Commitex Enterprises...

My company Commitex Enterprises, the name Commitex that I use
in my businesses come from Committed to Excellence (Commi-T-Ex).

Autograph Your Work With Excellence...

One of my favorite quotes states, "Every Job Is A Self-Portrait Of The
Person Who Did It. Autograph Your Work With Excellence."

Personal Excellence...

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full
potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal
excellence. - Confucius

Excellence, is a Habit...

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not
act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have
those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. - Aristotle

Excellence a Prevailing Attitude...

If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop
the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a
prevailing attitude. - Colin Powell

Excellence is Consistently Perform at a High Level

Excellence is being able to perform at a high level over and over
again. You can hit a half-court shot once. That's just the luck of the
draw. If you consistently do it... that's excellence. - Jay-Z

Dream Stealer…

Image

You know, often times, good hard working people hold themselves back
from pursuing their dreams become they allow the Dream stealer, old
man F.e.a.r. take control.

They see what’s possible, but they don’t always believe it’s possible, for
them, they fear they don't have what it takes to accomplish their hopes
and dreams.

Do't allow F.e.a.r. to Steal your Dreams!

Pope John XXIII puts it this way: Consult not your fears but your hopes
and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your
unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what  you tried and failed
in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.  - Pope John XXIII

When you start in life, if you find you are wrongly placed, don't hesitate
to change, but don't change because troubles come up and difficulties
arise. You must meet and overcome and conquer them. And in meeting
and overcoming and conquering them, you will make yourself stronger
for the future. - Charles M. Schwab

This may just be a “feel-good” message that many will forget by tomorrow
(which is fine by me), or it can be a call-to-action for folks to stand up and
get the results they deserve…

If you’re a part of the latter, may I suggest you Join Us sooner rather
than later.

We’d be honored to have you, and I can’t wait to see the results you may
be getting.

I say, sell YOURSELF first on what’s possible and always remember,

Never Allow Your Dreams To Die...

Don't allow F.e.a.r. (False evidence appearing real) to Steal your dreams!

Thanks for the visit, please like, comment and share...

Until next time... Enjoy and Proper!

Pearls of Wisdom – Jim Rohn

Image

Being The Best You Can Be...

Don’t join an easy crowd; you won’t grow. Go where the expectations
and the demands to perform are high.

Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small
things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let
others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you.

You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the
circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself.
That is something you have charge of.

If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone
else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.

Character isn’t something you were born with and can’t change, like your
fingerprints. It’s something you weren’t born with and must take
responsibility for forming.

If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.

Discipline And The Results Of Leading A Disciplined Life...

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of
egret or disappointment.

Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion.

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.

Your philosophy determines whether you will go for the disciplines  or
continue the errors.

Goals And The Reason For Setting Them...

The major reason for setting a goal is for what it makes of you to
accomplish it. What it makes of you will always be the far greater value
than what you get.

If you learn to set a good sail, the wind that blows will always take  you to
the dreams you want, the income you want, and the treasures of  mind,
purse, and soul you want.

If you go to work on  your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you
go to work on your  plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good
things we build  end up building us.

Achieving Greatness And Wealth...

Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness -
great wealth, great return, great satisfaction, great reputation, and
great joy.

Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health.
Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where
the miracle process all begins.

Take advantage of every opportunity to practice your communication skills
so that when important occasions arise, you will have the gift, the style,
the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people.

Profits Are Better than Wages...

My mentor, when I was 25 years old, dropped a phrase on me that
changed my life forever when he said, "Profits are better than wages.
Wages will make you a living, Profits can make you a fortune."

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a
fortune.

You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to
the hour.

Time is more value than money. You can get more money, but you cannot
get more time.

Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.

The Secret To Success, Avoiding Failure...

Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural
consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals.

Success is steady progress toward one's personal goals.

Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.

Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you
become.

Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead,
failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day.

Failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.

Is Fear of Failure Holding You Back?

conquer Fear.jpg550x327

Conquers fears of failing, replaces it with more fulfillment, freedom, and
income…

A great headline...Too bad it is not the outcome for many would be or
wanta be entrepreneurs.

Why do so many hop into this business, full of good intentions, but they
don’t do anything with what they learn?

While I do get the “discomfort” of trying out new things…

Oftentimes, it’s simply fear of failure being placed in the wrong spots.

For example, many hard-working, smart and savvy people may let fear
get in the way of them running their first Facebook Ad.

Or to send out their first marketing related email, or to put on a webinar
and make an offer.

But here’s the thing…

Even a very IMPERFECT ad, email, or webinar can get you to $10K per
month in profit. (Or, much more that.)

Imperfect actions is what drives results.

Just my thoughts here, but it could be more effective if we view what we
are doing as “versions”?

(Sort of like Apple, FB, Microsoft, and just about every other business
does.)

This way you can get something out the door, but it doesn’t have to be
perfect.

It’s Version 1.0

If version 1 blows up, that’s fine.

But more than likely…You’ll start getting leads and sales, and you can
always improve to 2.0 later on if you’d like.

If you can just DO IT… with massive imperfect action, the payoff can be
very big for you.

And it’ll always be worth it.:

If you’d like help?

Try this... Most of the work has already been done.

You’ll just have to be willing to follow their simple plan to drive leads into
your business you can have access to.

Which can result in up to $1K to $10K commissions rolling your way.

All by taking consistent, little, imperfect actions.

Hope this was useful and that you received enormous value!

Building Trust with Social Media

Trust lincolnchafee1.jpg SFC

One thing that stands out today in the social media world we live in is that
it’s important to develop a sense of trust with your followers.

This is especially true for small and medium sized businesses, since the
amount of trust between business and follower will only serve to build
customer loyalty.

Trust is essential to building your brand, and even the best marketers in
the world won’t be able to sell a product without first establishing trust
with their customer base. They must create stories that offer a connection
with their consumers.

But how do you go about building that trust?

Use Your Content

Using content is the most reliable method you have for developing trust
with followers. Create insightful, meaningful content that will provoke
emotion and establish a connect with your consumers.

mArtin L King SFC

Transparency

Followers want to see that you are a real, live person, not a faceless brand
with which they’re doing business.

They want to see your thoughts and your suggestions and learn more
about you as a person.

Consumers care less about the money and more about the relationship.

Take the time to develop and nurture the relationship you have with your
consumer base. Show them the real you, and how you arrived at your
current destination.

# 1 TB-071D-7-Tropical-Beach-Sunset-2D

Pictures

Pictures are powerful. Consider the previous point and be sure to post
pictures of your daily life. Followers want to see the real, unfiltered life
you live.

Share your daily routine with your consumers, on a regular basis so that
they know who you are and what you’re doing.

Mind Your Manners

Being polite and courteous go a long way. Even though we may not give
these words a second thought, the person we offer them to will remember
them.

When someone shares your post, make sure you thank them. If you need
something from someone, make sure you ask them with a please.

Accept Criticism

The harsh reality is that you and your business are going to be criticized.
It comes with the territory of being truthful. Respond positively to critique.

Allow it to be an opportunity for learning and growth. Don’t be afraid to
stand up for what you believe, but have an open mind that you might be
in the wrong. Followers will notice how you respond.

tropical-beach-backgrounds-48632552

Have Fun

This is social media after all, isn’t it? You’re connect with thousands (if not
more) of people from around the world in an instant, something never
before possible in the history of our species.

We have information about anything available at our fingertips. Enjoy what
you’re doing. Have fun with it!

Be Adventurous

Don’t be afraid to try something new or unique when it comes to your
social media accounts. It may not work, but followers will see that you’re
willing to take a chance on something innovative.

Sure you might fall flat on your face, but there’s also the possibility that
you’ll succeed.

Be Responsive and Respectful

Responding to comments on posts isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Some people simply want to watch the world burn. Be respectful to
everyone.

Sometimes it’s not the easiest thing to do, but it is the right thing. And as
mentioned previously, followers and customers will see how you react,
and the correct response now may lead to additional business in the
future.

Trust is something you earn, not something that’s given. Your followers
put their trust in you because they see the real you and the way you
handle everyday life.

Use the trust and loyalty others have in you to develop relationships and
provide your customers a great experience.

5 Simple Steps to Help Increase Your Customer Retention Rates

michaelleboeuf1

Customer retention is one of the most important metrics used to calculate the effectiveness of your marketing strategy. The reason is simple. It costs more to acquire a new customer than keep an existing customer.

You can’t rely solely on new business. Otherwise, you’ll never grow your business. Use these simple steps to help increase your customer retention rates.

Give Your Customers More Than They Expect

The first way to increase customer retention rates is by giving your customers more than they expect. Deliver more than you initially promised. For example, you could include a free bonus or deliver your product or service ahead of schedule.

Consider the expectations that your customers have. This includes the quality of the product or service, the delivery, and additional features. If you can improve one of these areas without increasing your costs, then you’ll be able to give your customers more than they expect.

Establish Trust with Your Customers

You need to cultivate the relationship that you’ve got with your customers. This comes through the establishment of trust. If customers trust you to always deliver what you promise, then they’ll likely come back for more.

Content can also help establish trust. Giving existing customers access to bonus content, free offers, or PDF guides can go a long way towards building trust. This also helps with the first tip. You’ll exceed their expectations.

Make Your Interactions More Personable

When you engage with customers, you need to be personable. This includes the use of personalized emails and personal responses to their comments.

Depending on the email marketing platform that you choose, you may be able to automatically personalize your emails. Using a template, the software will automatically insert the first name of the people on your mailing list.

You should also encourage your customers to leave feedback. Ask them questions. You can do this through social media or your email marketing. This lets them know that you’re listening and that you care about their thoughts.

When a customer leaves feedback, either positive or negative, you should contact them as soon as possible and address them by their name. Thank them for their feedback.

Deal with Complaints Promptly and Directly

You should never make the mistake of ignoring an unsatisfied customer. When someone’s unhappy with your products or services, your first step should be to learn more about their complaint.

Contact customer, remember to personable and ask for more details. Use this information to try and find a way to solve their issue. Even if you need to issue a refund or a replacement, you may be able to save yourself from losing a customer. This could also save you from taking a hit to your online reputation.

Make Sure You Deliver an Exceptional Product or Service

The final step to increasing your customer retention rates is to ensure that you deliver a quality product or service. This ties into the first tip. You want to go above and beyond and deliver a great value.

The bottom line is that if you have something of value at a reasonable price people will buy it and they’ll come back for future purchases.

Think about your favorite cereal, shoes, or vehicles. You continue to purchase from the same company because they deliver a quality product. If you can do the same, then you’ll be able to increase your customer retention rates.

Customer retention is an important metric to pay attention to. Use these steps to begin increasing this key factor. If you’d like to have access to even more powerful marketing tips, as well as a way to generate conversion-ready Internet marketing prospects each month, click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

The Scroll Marked III – I Will Persist Until I Succeed!

I will Persist Og Mandino.jpg500x260

The Scroll Marked III - I Will Persist Until I Succeed!

How many of you have a favorite film that you have watched several times and it never becomes boring or monotonous?

There are classics that I would watch with my mother every year, especially during the Easter season. Some of these classics I couldn’t get at the video store, so I would go the library and borrow them, and then we could watch them for a week. This was a yearly event for us and the films never became boring or monotonous, year after year after year, I knew to get these classics so we could enjoy our special time together and share the  bonding experience that still inspire me to this day.

You see the classics never get old; they just seem to get better with age.

Just as I did with the films, there are also classic books that I read at least once a year. One of those books is by Og Mandino's, The Greatest Salesman in the World. I don’t just read this powerful book, I make it a yearly study. I make it a practice to read the 10 scrolls as outlined by Og, at least once a year.

Early on in my career as a young insurance unit manager, I was 21 at the time, one of my agents brought a copy of The Greatest Secret in the World to one of our private sessions and handed it to me. I couldn’t put it down. Og Mandino wrote The Greatest Salesman in the World, as a result of the response of his former work and to provide a personal development plan and discipline that would propel the reader's achievement and accomplishments to unbelievable proportions.

As a young salesman that wanted to the best, I was into personal development, I had already discovered Napoleon Hill, W. Clement Stone, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Zig Ziglar and others, but when I was introduced to Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World, he was speaking directly to me.

Mohammed Ali images 500x280

Like Muhammad Ali, I wanted to be “The Greatest!” Please don’t get me wrong I am in no way comparing myself with “The Greatest” Muhammad Ali. It was my desire to become a great salesman, in fact I wanted to become The Greatest Salesman in the World.

For those of you who laugh and scoff at the previous sentence, I say, if you don’t have a desire to be the very best at what you do you are cheating yourself and your family, if you are married and have kids, and you are cheating the world of your extraordinary contributions if you are not committed to being the best.

As part of my personal development plan I read the 10 scrolls in The Greatest Salesman in the World every year as prescribed in the book on a daily basic. My daily reading for this month is, The Scroll Marked III “I Will Persist Until I Succeed!”

I have used this book to achieve extraordinary success in sales, management, and as an entrepreneur. If you have never read this classic I recommend you get it and make it a part of your personal development study. I gave it as a gift to my sales team several years ago, I had been reading from it in many of our meeting and I know the profound affect it had on me and I wanted to pass it forward. you can do as I did, you can find it on Amazon.

As I have read many times, I Will Persist Until I Succeed, I will persist, I will win!

Why It’s A Good Idea To Help Others Succeed…

1- Pearls of Wisdom Stan Fuller

Why It's A Good Idea To Help Others Succeed...

In keeping with my personal development plan and challenge to read at least one inspirational or personal development book per week, today I finished reading, The 3 Most Important Things In Your Life by Mike Murdock.

Mike Murdock is a very accomplished Minster, Song writer and the author of many books.

 A Letdown and Uplifting

Reading the last chapter of this book was both a letdown and uplifting. I felt somewhat emotionally letdown because I was quickly coming to the end, it’s always somewhat of letdown when I finish a good book.

However there was many golden nuggets in the last few pages of this book that will remain with me forever and I wanted to share them with you.

A Great Success Secret

“The Greatest Success Secret God Has Ever Taught Me.” This is the title of the chapter of this book and it is packed with Golden Nuggets.

This is what Mike Murdock wrote that really inspired me. “Some Years Ago Something Happened To Me That Literally Changed The Course of My Life.

It revolutionized my ministry.

It transformed me.

It made me a whole different person.”

What was it that so profoundly affected Rev Murdock “God spoke to my heart…not aloud, but into my very spirit and innermost being. It was a simple sentence. But it struck me with the force of a sledge-hammer blow. It echoed and resounded inside my head and engraved itself on the walls oy my heart.”

What was the message?

“What You Make Happen For Others, I Will Make Happen For You.”

…Mike continues “If I make good things happen for others, God will make good things happen for me.”

”If you want to be a success…if you want to be fulfilled…concentrate on the success and fulfillment of others.”

 Wow! That’s Powerful!

Reading this impacted me in somewhat the same way Rev Murdock was impacted it when he received the message.

“What You Make Happen For Others, I Will Make Happen For You.”

“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” - Zig Ziglar

Many successful top producers and high achievers use personal coaches and mentors to assist them in every area of their lives. I use personal coaches. success or accomplishing your goals. I am at your service. That may not be grammatical correct, I just like saying it that way.

I became a personal development coach because I have a burning desire to help others succeed and achieve at their optimum level. I am at your service. That may not be grammatical correct, I just like saying it that way.

My Mission Statement

My mission statement reads in part: I am committed to making the world a better place, by teaching, inspiring, encouraging all I come in contact with to always give their very best, realize their greatness, reach their goals, live their dreams, achieve their full penitential, and pursue their God created purpose.

Are You In It To Win It…

images.jpg SFC

Are You In It To Win It…

When it comes to the way we pursue our goals, our dreams, our relationships, our finances, our business interests, or whatever else we do, just fill in the blank, a very important question come to mind. Are we in It to win it?

A few weeks ago I reread T. Harv Eker’s bestselling book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

T. Harv has what he calls Wealth Files. In His Wealth File # 2 he asks the question, “If you were to play any sport or any game strictly on defense, what are your chances of your winning the game? Most people would agree, slim and none.”

This question was raised to highlight the message of the wealth file #2: Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.

Winners Use Person Development To Help Them Achieve Greatness

In life as in sports there is a difference between winners and losers. Winners know that to achieve their very optimum level takes commitment, personal development, persistence, and the failure is not an option attitude.

Winners make the necessary sacrifices now to work on themselves, they execute their personal development plan, and they commit to a schedule and follow through with the necessary actions that will ensure that they achieve their desired result. Winners play to win..

Winners Are In It To Win It…And They WIN!

Winner adapt the words of  Sir Winston Churchill - “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Michael Jordan: “I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.”

Losers, well, we all know the cry of losers, I often think of the losers limp. The corner-back get beat on a deep touchdown pass, and he grabs his leg, it was the injury that caused him to get beat, not his lack of skill or speed.

You see losers would rather offer excuses, assign blame, they don’t want to accept responsibility, and it’s never their fault. Well they were only playing not to lose anyway; they were not playing to win!

What about you…Are you in it to win it? Or, are you just playing not to lose?
